One down...too many more to go...

Well...after 1,856 days of being a non-student...I have finally paid back my student loan.

And, I only borrowed money for one semester of school. I can't imagine having to pay back 4 or more years of student loans.

(Yikes...)

Now, if I can just get my car and my two credit cards paid off...

(that deserves a really big YIKES!!)

Good job! I'm not looking forward to paying off our student loans from grad school. We haven't taken out much, but who wants more bills?

Off topic, I really like your new background and font.

Ed says congratulations on the paid off student loan. Now for a little incentive -- Add up what you are paying in interest on the two cards and the car each month. That is what extra $ you will have when the loans are paid off. Start with the smallest and add a few dollars each month while being careful about adding to the account. What an awful job. But believe me it is great to know that there is no outstanding debt but what we have run up this month.

Also -- at your age -- start an IRA or other tax sheltered account and add to it each month -- only ten dollars a month adds up fast. Just start and keep doing it -- you will be amazed at the result.

Good luck and hold on to that great feeling of having paid off a loan.
