Golly...20 of my favorite things (I'm opting to do tangible things, not including people)...here we go:

My phone, my wedding ring, sharpies, highlighters, my violin, soda, my coupon file, MY BED, my straightener, Franklin, my craft room, our couch, hoodies, pizza, fingernail polish, Daron's truck, my camera, glitter, these shoes I'm wearing that are almost worn out and I'm so sad cause I can't get them anymore ( I've worn out two pair!) and my vacuum sealer.

30 Day Challenge: Day 1...

I've decided to do another 30 day blogging challenge.  Even though I'm headed into the busiest month of my life...I still wanted to stay up on my blog.  The 30 day challenge is a good way to do that.  I did one a while ago...but hopefully this one is a little different and not repetative. Here is how the next 30 days are going to look:

So here is Day 1:

I have lots of pictures that make me smile...but this is one of the newest ones.  It just makes me realize how lucky I am.  I married into what could of been a really hard situation.  Daron hadn't been single for very long, and he has older kids ( most of whom are too old to even pass as my kids).  His kids could of easily been mean and difficult and not like me very much (I have friends in that situation) but it has been SO GREAT!  Bryan is like the son I will probably never get to have.  I've never once heard 'you aren't my mom' or anything even remotely negative like that.  It's been quite the opposite.  Bryan doesn't hesitate to let me know how much he loves me and he is quite the hugger and cuddler.  (and he's 14!! I keep waiting for him to turn into a grumpy teenager...but thankfully he's not there yet!)  Things are good with Hannah too.  She has moved out on her own now, but we get along nicely!  And Daron's older kids are fun to be around at family gatherings and stuff.  (I even get two fun grandchildren out of this deal!)  So again, this picture just reminds me how lucky I am to get to be in this family!!

Busy busy busy...

Yuck...sorry to leave that whiny baby post up for so long (not that anyone besides my mother is reading my blog anymore)  Here is a little update of the going on's at our house...

Bryan is #74

Bryan has had football practice all summer and games have finally started.  He's had two games; won one, lost one...and I have REALLY loved going to them!  I was nervous that it would be embarrassing to be with Daron at one of his games, but he really hasn't been one of 'those' parents.  Bryan plays really well...if I knew anything about football I would tell you what position he plays...something like an offensive guard, or a defensive tackle...basically he is blocking guys from doing stuff.  I am excited for him to continue to play for the next few years of high school.  I am just really proud of Bryan!  He gets up every morning at 5:30, goes to Seminary at 6, school starts at 7:15, then football practice till 5:30!!  And he does it all without whining and he is staying on top of his grades so far.  He is just such a great kid!

The next couple months are going to be CRAZY busy it seems!  Work gets busier in the fall, I am planning Ashlie (Wilson) Estrada's baby shower for Oct 20th.  Stacie is getting married Oct 12th.  My anniversary, Darons birthday, Hannahs birthday, the family birthday party that we do with all of Darons family is in October. I get to go home for the Pumpkin Walk!!!!  Plus all the other little things that are happening like the Primary Presentation, General Conference, our ward enrichment craft night that I'm helping with...LOTS TO DO!  But I'm looking forward to it.
