Tell me what you think...

I followed in the footsteps of Anna Osmond...Poole...and I gave my blog a little bit of a face lift. The only thing is I can't decide if I like it or not. The text is aligned a little differently ( I did change it back to left...but that looked worse) and I can't decide if it's too hard to read. I also don't know if it is too foo foo....
Anyway, I found a few other backgrounds that I liked so let me know what you think of this one and maybe I'll give another one a go in a few days.... I would hate to turn away my faithful readers because my background is annoying...
So...ready...set...comment...

Psst....look at this....

The other day I was at work and I was working at the front of the store greeting and folding shirts. At one point this older gentleman...probably in his late 60's early 70's comes in. I thought this was a little weird because usually when men come in they are with their girlfriend/mother/sister/wife (for those of you that may not know...I work at Lane Bryant which is a clothing store for plus size women)....they don't come in by themselves. Nevertheless....I greet him and ask if I could help him find anything. He hands me an envelope with some sizes and styles on it and tells me he needs to get some underwear for his wife. I haven't been trained in the Cacique (that's the fancy label for our 'intimates' section) department so I took him over to Stacy to have her help him and then I dutifully headed back to my post. A few minutes later he his heading out the door with his little bag of panties and I asked if he found everything he wanted. He said..."Yes...and look at this..." and he walks over to me with almost a little bit of embarrassment in his face, opens his bag and... amidst the slew of beige granny panties...sits this cute little lacy purple pair of underwear." It's all I can do to not bust up laughing...but instead I maintain my composure and say "Wow...that is a really nice color..." and he says
"...I'm sure I'm gonna hear about this tonight..."

To all my former roommates...

I am going to take just a few minutes to vent my roommate frustrations. I have a roommate...and for the sake of privacy lets say her name is...Catherine. And I am going to kill her. For the past few weeks there have been lost of rude comments and little things that she does to bug everybody...but...you have to pick your battles right...so I haven't said anything and just ignored it. But, last Sunday she got sick...coughing and sneezing all over. So, she decides to make herself some chicken noodle soup. That's fine...but the next morning I get up to go clean the kitchen and she has a half-eaten bowl sitting on the counter. I assumed she was coming back to clean it up eventually...so I ignored it. Until yesterday when I went to clean the kitchen and it was still there only there was a dead fly in it. Sick sick sick. So anyway...yesterday me and Ashlie went on a walk and came home and Catherine and her boyfriend were gone so we decided to watch another episode of The O.C. ( no comments). We got it started and then I decided to go load the dishwasher really quick before we got to far into watching TV and it got too late. So, we pause it, go to the kitchen and while I was loading her freakin nasty dishes into the dishwasher...her and Tim came home, turned off the show we were watching...and started to play some lame ninja fighting game on the PlayStation. I was so livid...... I was cleaning up her nasty and she has the audacity to turn off my movie. So, I went into the living room and said...'Oh...ok...I'm just gonna get the movie out that we were watching...and she said nothing....didn't scoot to the side so I could get to the DVD player...so....I punched her.....no....I didn't but I really really wanted to. It was just the icing on the top of the cake. I hate her and I hope she gets hit by a semi. Ok...maybe not but I just wish she'd marry her 30 year old jobless boyfriend and move out.

So, I wanted to take this time to apologize to Jennie Mack, Alanna, Jessica, Debbie, Emily, Jenny, Sarah, Murph, Lisa, Becca, Candace, Katrese, Sandy, Julie, Tacy, Amanda and whoever else I might have lived with for every time I was an unbearable roomate. Thanks for putting up with it all.

On a lighter note...ha ha...I have lost 2 lbs since joining the gym 1 week ago!

It's gonna be a bright...

...bright...bright and sunshiny day!

I just had to write a blog this morning because it is 9:35 A.M. and it has already been a fabulous day! Well...some of the fabulousness should be contributed to last night also....

Me and Ashlie usually try to leave the house around 4p.m. ish because that is the hottest time of the day and we usually don't turn our air on till 8p.m. So, we went to Old Navy yesterday so Ashlie could do some shopping. I realized I had some coupons for Lane Bryant(which was right next door) and even thought I am starting to work there today, I thought I better take advantage of these coupons cause you can't use them as an employee. I really didn't have any money to spend, but I looked around anyway. I ended up getting 5 tops for $30.00!!! Amazing huh. And they are so cute...it makes me really sad to think that someday (hopefully sooner rather than later) they might become too big. But, they are not so loose now that the slightest weight drop would result in them becoming unwearable...thank goodness. Also, we at at...where else...Extreme Pita last night and it was fabulous as usual.
So, today I got up at 7a.m. to go to the gym and get my workout it...and now I am getting ready to head off to my job...that is so nice to say! And, I am in my very cute new clothes!

And, to top all of this happiness off...it is only supposed to get up to 92 degrees here today! Finally a break from the 105's we've been dealing with!

Delicious and Nutritious...

Some of you out there in blog world might not know that my roomate Ashlie is a vegetarian. She is also into disgusting things like hummus (which always makes me think of haggas) and other forms of chickpeas. Yuck. So, a few days after I got here we decided to eat at the restaraunt 'Pita Jungle'. It was very nice...I had a portabello mushroom burger and she had some nasty black bean burger thing that she made me try a piece of and I almost puked. I hate beans...all beanse minus green beans. Anyway, so this restaraunt was nice...the waiters and waitresses were all sort of hippie like so Ashlie really loved it. It was good. Well, just up the street from where we live is another restaraunt called 'Extreme Pita'. We've seen it and even had a coupon for it becuase when you shop at 'Basha's'...the nearest grocery store...you get Extrememe Pita coupons on the back of your receipt. I have been clipping every coupon I can get my hands on...so I kept those in my purse cause we inevitably would try it out someday. Well that we did and let me just tell you...it is our new favorite place ever! Our coupon is for buy one pita get one free with the purchase of a large drink. So, we share a drink and get two pitas for $3.50 a person. You just don't find a deal like that every day. Ashlie always gets the Falafal Fanatic and I always get the Gyro pita. And...to top it all off...we have now become friends with the cute little Mexican man that works there. Everytime we walk in...no matter what he's doing...he'll wave and say really loud 'oh hello girls' and smiles and he knows what we get and it's just lots of fun. And, we know he's not like that with everyone becuase the first time we came he wasn't that friendly. But...we're regulars. And...to make this deal even better...my pita only has 350 calories. That is not bad for a dinner. The only frustrating thing is that Basha's is a pretty expensive grocery store so we have to keep an eye out for good deals so we can get the receipts with the coupons. For example, this week 1/2 gallons of milk are on sale for $1.00....thats one gallon of milk for $2.00. That is an anazing deal. We calculated up yesterday and with our sale on milk, and with our Extreme Pita coupons...we have saved over $20.00!
So for all my fans out there who are planning there next trip to Arizona to come see me...let it be known we will be frequenting the Extreme Pita while you're here.
