"How was the big hole in the ground?"...

...That is what my roomate Whitney asked when we got home. So...needless to say I didn't feel bad going on a day when she couldn't go.

Me and my roomate Jillian and Jessica (a girl I know from church) went to the Grand Canyon this past Saturday because it was FREE!! It was pretty fun...the weather was AMAZING!! I can't believe the temperature difference just a few hours of driving can make!

Oh...and I got 10 more pressed pennies for my colletion!

Here are some pictures of the trip!

Isn't that a cool place? When I went there earlier this year, at times when I looked out into the canyon it seemed like a mural painting on a wall. I dunno if you got that feeling at all, but it seemed like at times, like that part on The Truman Show when he runs into the edge of the ocean and touches the wall.

Anyways, that's just random.

That's fun! we were really close to the grand canyon once, but never actually went to see it... too many other things to do at the time (:

I am always overwhelmed with how beautiful it is. I can only imagine what the first people who saw it thought. I am glad you got to see it. Dad has never seen it, so one of these years we will have to come and you can take us.

Fun! That looks awesome! I agree with Tacy, I would of freaked out just being that close to the edge.

I am the crack head you speak of, Tacy. Haha. I wasn't scared going down the little cliff but once I sat there and realized where I was (ie: the time I took that photo) my heart was RACING! I guess it was sort of a stupid thing to do but I, for lack of a better phrase, felt like livin' life on the edge for a moment ;) I made it though so it's all good!
