millions of families suffer from it every year...

I am suffering from a chronic case of chapped lips.  No matter what brand of 'chap stick' I use...NOTHING helps.  Sometimes the chappiness is less noticeable...but most of the time my lips are bright red and peely and rough and it's embarrassing.  I've used Carmex (in the tube, not the canister), Chapstick, Burts Bees, Blistex (the really good liquidy kind and the waxy kind), Vaseline (regular and cherry flavored), and I've actually put Neosporin on one time...but the taste was AWFUL...so I never did that again.

NOTHING HELPS!!!  It got so bad a couple Sundays ago, my lips were almost cracking, and I couldn't find one freaking thing of chapstick anywhere in my house or my car or my purse...and Daron finally ran to the Walgreen's to get me some cause I was almost in tears.

(My title is a little shout of for Daron cause he now LOVES the office and his favorite thing so far has been when Jim dresses up like Dwight and Dwight yells at him "Identity theft is a crime Jim....millions of families suffer from it every year!)

Would rubbing a little bit of moisturizing lotion on them morning and night plus 'chap stick' help? I don't know but just an idea. Another something someone told me is if you have constant dry lips than drink more water. Again just suggestions. Good luck, I hope you find a "cure"!

1- I HATE chapped lips! They're just miserable!
2- My granny always said if your lips are really dry and chapped, you need to drink more water (not sure if that's true or not)_
3- My mom would always have us take a HOT washcloth (like, get it wet and microwave it for a bit to make it as hot as you can stand) and put it on your lips. Then when the cloth has cooled down (so you lips have been 'soaking' under the hot cloth for a while) smother them in vasoline (not chap stick, straight vasoline). Usually do this at night, so you can load your lips up with vasoline, then sleep with the vasoline on. Seemed to work, but I'm not sure if my lips have been as bad as your sound.
4- Maybe you need to lay off the kissing (doubt Daron would like that suggestion) ;)

:( maybe it's because "they" put glass in chap stick. ;). Hahaha. I don't know if you remember that conversation with Rodney. If not... It was really funny.

One of the queer eye for the straight guys suggested one to ex-foliate your lips with sugar first.
Mix sugar and honey (or olive oil) but don't dissolve the sugar. Rub it on your lips and rub with your finger, a wet wash cloth, a soft toothbrush, or rub your lips together for about 3 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and apply a non-wax lip moisturizer afterward.

ooo.... try what Tacy said, but with baby oil and sugar. Also bath and body works has this little metal container that looks like lip stuff but its called Salve. Im not really sure what exactly it is but it works wonders on dry chapped things. My lips were killing me about a year ago and I used it and love love love it!!!!!!!

WAHAHAHA! One of the best intros for The Office for sure. That and the parkour one where Andy falls into the refrigerator box from the roof. Anyway, sorry about the chapped lips. Quit makin' out so much... problem solved. ;)
