Remember that one time...

This seemed like my kind of 'Tag'. Here are the rules:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you!

I remember that one time you were walking around in your walker, fascinated by the "ishf" we had in a container in the kitchen and you kept trying to reach them, until finally you managed to pull the bowl and the 'ishf' down on top of you and all over the kitchen floor. You just kept say, "ishf, mommy, ishf!"

remember that one time when we came home from classes to find Murph and Emily dressed in our clothes playing rummikub and drinking Thomas Kemper rootbeer and eating popcorn? :) Good times...and all the hand and foot we played with the kitchen table in the front room...

I have the same memory for you that I had for Sarah Harward. Going into Keokuk to a grocery store, filling our cards with random things and then switching carts and putting everything away.

Oh yes, there was also that time that we tried to throw a party at my house to get Chris Noe to come over. It was pretty lame and needless to say, I was too embarrassed to see him after that. Good times indeed...

I remember that time when we had just bought Jurassic Park: The Lost World and you came over to watch it with our family and you & Corey went gaga when Jeff Goldblum was on-screen. Then, later you told us how you went and saw it with your Dad and in the theater, and at the part when they are escaping the T-Rex in the city and Julianne Moore asks, "Do you think we lost it?" You dad yelled, "I doubt it!!" Or something like that. ;)

Remember that one time we were driving down Carmen Road trying to get to Chicago and I misplaced the map and couldn't find it so you told me to take the wheel and you'd look. So I took the wheel but kept looking and ended us up in a ditch? Remember that one time?

Where in the world do I even start? I honestly don't know!! One of my MANY MANY memories of you, is one that shows what a wonderfully generous person you are! I can sum it up in 5 words. Bread Bowls from the Nordic! Remember how we used to always get our schedules to work out so we had the breaks between classes at the same time, and we'd always meet at the Nordic for lunch, and you'd always buy me those yummy bread bowls. I'm not sure why I was always broke, yet you had enough money to buy us both one, I think it comes down to you just being generous, and me being bad at money management. Anyway, I still owe you BIG time!!

p.s. I really miss you and wish you lived a lot closer!!

Oh yeah, one more memory. When we first met Steven and you looked at me and said 'You're going to marry him. I just know it' And I was like, 'YEAH RIGHT!' then about 8 1/2 months later, we were married. You know you've got a good best friend when they know who your husband is before you do!

Do you remember the summer that you spent in Rexburg. It was so hot. (well hot for Rexburg with no a/c maybe not compared to Az.) And we thought that it would be a good idea to sleep with the door open, like the guys down the street. I was so scared I don't think that I slept at all. However it did cool down the apartment nicely. Only in Rexburg :)

One of the first memories that came to mind is that you would always come home from class saying that you fell again. Usually it happened more when you borrowed my docs. I have tons of great memories of you and all the times we had.

I remember when our family spent Christmas in Nauvoo with your family. You were around 3 and Santa had brought you one of those bouncy horses that sits on a metal frame with springs. Rather than wrapping it, Santa simply draped a sheet over it. When you came into the room you were so afraid of it you wouldn't get near it. Your mom couldn't even coax you to peek underneath the sheet to see what it was. It was so funny - and cute.
