A bit of randomness...

I really don't have anything to blog about but I'm tired of my 'sick' blog...so I'm puttin' something new up here...

I have scheduled a consultation with a surgeon to get my gallbladder out. Hopefully we can get it done quickly, cause every time I eat something I dread what pain it may cause when I go to bed. (for some reason gallstone attacks usually happen when you lay down)... And my mom is coming out for my surgery, so that will be really nice.

I've got some big decisions to make here soon. I am not one for writing something like that and not giving details, but I fear that if I talk about it with too many people my decision will be skewed, and I am trying to stay as level headed as possible. But...I just wanted to put it out there that I ABSOLUTELY HATE making decision that seem to have a big effect on your life. I just wish we had 'decision makers' that you could hire to make decision for you, that way I wouldn't have to think about the consequences...I could just go with what they told me because that would be the rule. **sigh**

On a parting note....I'll post some pictures I scanned into the computer the other day...just for fun times...

This picture made me laugh for many reasons. 1) Tacy looks like a boy. 2) Jessie just looks so cute and young. 3)The picture is so off-center, but I realized most of my picture taken back in the day are off center. Thank goodness for cameras that you can see it right after you take it...

Does that make me crazy...

About a year ago Tacy posted a blog entitled 'Get Over It' and it was based off of a bit that was one on our favorite radio show "Kid Kraddick in the Morning"...

Today I am doing another homage to the radio show ... it's called "Does that make me crazy?" I heard it a couple days ago and it got me thinking about the weird things I do that may seem 'crazy' to others...

Here were some of the examples from the show:

'I dig through my kids dirty diapers after they come back from the babysitter to see what she fed them....DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

'I order 5 things separately from the same store online, and then I order them all with different shipping rates so that I get them all at different times and it's like presents all week...DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

'I keep stink bombs in my car so that if I get pulled over, I light one, and then I can get out of a ticket cause he thinks I'm having a 'problem'...DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

'I have to put 13 swipes of my deodorant on under each arm...DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

So...I have come up with a few of my own:

'When I wear socks, they have to match PERFECTLY...and I don't mean just the same color and style, but every weird detail has to match, if one of the ankles is really stretched out, the other ankle has to be really stretched out...if one of them is really stained, the other has to be really stained, etc...DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

'I WILL NOT use mis-matched shampoo or conditioner...the brand (and preferably the specific type of brand ( you know, ones for volume or ones for shine or ones for color protection) ) has to be the same or I will skip the conditioning part entirely...DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

'For some reason that I cannot explain, I always turn on and off my lights when I get in my car...DOES THAT MAKE ME CRAZY?'

So....tell us... what do you do that MAKES YOU CRAZY?

The Wedding...

Here are some of the pictures from this weekend...neither me or Stacie are accomplished photographers, and my battery died right before the actual wedding and I wasn't able to change them out till after we got back to the room...but this will give you a sample of what the whole thing was like...

What is so cute about this picture, and you can't even see it, is that Danielles brother (who is probably 6 or 7) is standing a few feet away from Brian and right after they cut the cake he says almost to himself with a huge sigh of relief "Married at last"...it was SO CUTE! It was like he just couldn't wait for that cake to get cut cause that was what made this whole ordeal official!

Stacie came with me, thank goodness cause I wouldn't of survived this weekend with out here. I would still be wandering around the Luxor with Brianna and Nikki and all of my luggage having no clue what to do or where to go. I look like I'm about to fall out of this dress...it really wasn't that bad in person. (I don't think)

All the kids before we went down to the ceremony. At the left is Jason, Danielles brother, then Adra, Danielles niece and...crap...I can't remember that kids name but he is SO CUTE and he offered to make me and Stacie sandwiches at the reception, he's Danielles nephew, and then at the far right is Nikki, Danielles oldest daughter.

So it was a good trip. I think the wedding went exactly how she wanted it, with the exception of the wind that was blowing that day!! It was AWFUL...it kept blowing my dress up and so who knows what was showing on the walk down the the waterfalls where the ceremony was!! But other than that it was good...

I am exhausted today though, between walking all over and babysitting and not sleeping and driving all day...I could sleep all day today if it were allowed...but unfortunately I had to be to work early today...and I have a ton of stuff to do cause Danielle and her family are in California all week for the 'honeymoon' type family trip thing they are doing...

I am literally minutes from running out the door to leave for my fabulous trip to Vegas... but I wanted to take a moment and post this picture and blog about what my sister Tacy made for me for her blog give away prize!! Isn't it cute!! Not only is it purple...which I love...but it is sewn so well...I feel like I bought it at a store. Tacy is amazingly talented in the sewing department...check this out ... or this ....they are AMAZING!!!

Nevada....check...

When I write a blog I very rarely just sit down and write one. Usually I think about what I want to say...think about what pictures I should use...what the title should be...and so on...

So I was 'planning' this blog today and in preparation I decided to give my self a little 'quiz' and I grabbed a blank piece of paper and tried to name all the states without looking at a map (or course)...I got 47 of the 50, but one of them was Washington DC and I couldn't for the life of me remember if that counts as one of the 50 states or not. So, after checking and rechecking my list over I finally pulled up a list on the internet only to realize two things: Washington DC is not considered one of the 50 states and I HAD LEFT ILLINOIS OF MY LIST!!! I was ashamed and embarrassed.

But...onto my reason for the blog today...

In a matter of hours I will be able to cross another state off of my list of unvisited states...and that 'list' looks like this...

On Friday me and Stacie take of for LAS VEGAS for Danielle's wedding! I am excited about going since I have never been, and what is really exciting is my list of pressed penny machines to visit in between here and there...


On a side note...I really want to expand my 'list' of states and make it more purple than gray...

When you look at the map it is no wonder I've never seen the ocean yet... I stick pretty well to the inner states...having only traveled to one or two borders (and don't be fooled by this map, there is no ocean south of Arizona I promise you)...
